The Equator

All over the globe, the wind is in many the main cause of all winds is the warming of air that forces it to rise, see the red arrows, and then, as they go up, the higher they go, the colder they get, and then it sinks back down, and then gets heated up again.
Haiku of the region:
The region is hot,
it's become a place of rain,
a region of warmth.
At the equator, the air pressure is low, causing lots of rain. Also, because the earth is an oblate spheroid, and slightly wider at the equator, the sunlight is hitting this whole area, and is extremly hot, and wet. This is where most of the worlds rainforsts are.
