The who in this article is Columbus and his crew. The where in this article is Cuba but Columbus thinks he is in Asia near China but he is really in southern Cuba. The when is December 5th. The why is because Columbus and his other sailors wanted to have some gold, some nice spices and a bit of cotton they thought that there was these things in Asia so they tried to sail in that direction. Lastly the what in this article is that he laid down on the grass and enjoyed himself on the beach and listened to the birds in the trees.
My reaction to the events is that I think that Columbus learned a lot about new foods but that he did not really understand. I feel like Columbus should have known more about Asia before he tried to sail there. And that it is dumb that he called them Indians cause he thought that he was near India when he was actually in Cuba. In my opinion I feel like these events of sailing was a good idea cause then you can go to new places and learn new things about new places. I feel this way because I think it is a good idea to learn about other countries that you live with and the countries that you live with and the people in these countries. This relates to my life because some of the things that Columbus learned, he taught to others and they kept on teaching it and some of the things he learned are still used today. This impacted the world because Europe learned there was another country and that the world was bigger than they thought. This impacts my community because we are now learning about him and the things he did. we are studying him in Geography class. If it was not for him I would not be doing this paper.
