Summary: (PARAGRAPH FORM, Who, What, Where, When, When)
In 1493, Christopher Columbus made his voyage back to Spain. The night before he made his voyage back, one of the ships sunk and they only had two ships. Columbus was able to split the crew in half for each ship but unfortunately the two ships were too small for all of the crew to fit on, so some of them stayed behind. Columbus told them that he would come back for them, which he did eventually. Columbus also took some of the native Americans with him and all of the items to prove that he has been to Asia and back. The next day he rose the anchors from the water and set sail to Spain. On his way to Spain, a big storm came out of nowhere and knocked one of the ships off course. The other ship was still on its way to Spain however. A couple months later, he arrived to Spain and showed the king and the queen his proof that he has been to Asia and back. To wrap up, Columbus did make it back to Spain and did go back to get his remaining crew members and was free.

I think we should change the name of Columbus day to something else. I think we should change it to Discovery Day, the day we discovered new things. Why? We should change it to this because a lot of people in the world think of Christopher Columbus and a liar, a cheat, and many others. There is the articles link below this paragraph of of another person explaining if we should change the name of Columbus day.
