K-5 students visit the library once a week as one of their specials (art, music, technology, physical education and library). During library, students learn how to use library resources, listen to storytime, participate in class discussions and complete activities related to the readings/books. Over the school year, each class will have over one hundred books read to them. First through fifth graders select a "just right" book to take home. The student may borrow the book for two weeks. When students return their library book, they may pick out a new one.
