Access Points at Claremont Schools

If using a district Chromebook, all schools have outside Access Points that are broadcasting (Maple Avenue Elementary, Disnard Elementary, Bluff Elementary, Claremont Middle School and Stevens High School).

If using a personal device, only Stevens High School is broadcasting a Public connection that is accessible in the parking Lot.

Cell Phone Hotspots

We were informed cell phone companies are not charging overage fees for parents/guardians or students for using their cell phone hotspot. Please check with your cell phone provider before using your hotspot.

Xfinity Hotspots

Xfinity Hotspots are available throughout Claremont. To find a location close to you https://wifi.xfinity.com/ once you are on this website go to find a hotspot near you type in your zip code click the arrow key and it will bring to a list of locations.

Consolidated Communications

Students who DO NOT have home Internet Service

With so many students having to connect from home, our technology provider, Consolidated Communications, has offered two months of Free Home Internet Service to help low-income students and their families who do not have home Internet service.

We agree that this is the responsible thing to do and we’re making this offer available to our students immediately. Visit consolidated.com/student to see offer details and check your eligibility.

New customers may also call to see if they qualify for service and request this offer by calling Consolidated at 1-855-399-3084 and using the offer code “Two Months Free”. Service ordered online at consolidated.com does not qualify.

Comcast Internet Essentials is offering FREE Internet for 60 days to qualifying families. Here’s how to receive free internet in your home for 2 months: Go to: internetessentials.com and apply online OR Call: 1-855-8-INTERNET (1-855-846-8376). They will send you a self install kit. There is no shipping cost, no contract, no credit check and no installation fee.

If old debt is holding you back, call and see if they have a waiver.

New families who connect will get 60 days of Internet service for free.

Speeds will increase from 15/2 MBPS to 25/3 for all new and existing customers, and will become the speed of the service going forward.

The Internet Essentials program is normally available to all qualified low-income households in Comcast’s service area for $9.95/month.

Internet Assist Program $14.99/mo. for up to 30 Mbps

One or more members of your household must be a recipient of one of the following assistance programs: National School Lunch Program (NSLP), Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the NSLP, Supplemental Security Income (for applicants age 65+ only)

Programs that do not qualify for Spectrum Internet Assist: Social Security Disability (SSD), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and Social Security Retirement and Survivor Benefits are different from Supplemental Security Income and do NOT meet eligibility requirements.

Federal Communications Commission - Lifeline Support for Affordable Communications

Lifeline typically provides up to a $9.25 monthly discount on service for eligible low-income subscribers. Subscribers may receive a Lifeline discount on either a wireline or a wireless service, but they may not receive a discount on both services at the same time. Lifeline also supports broadband Internet access service and broadband-voice bundles. FCC rules prohibit more than one Lifeline service per household.

Offers customers up to 10 hours of free dial-up internet use every month. The connection requires a home phone line, and it’s limited to data speeds of around 56 Kbps (about half of 1 Mbps). It’s not a fast enough connection for online gaming or streaming video content, but it’ll do for basic messaging, email, and web browsing if you’re patient.

AT&T is offering low-cost wireline home Internet service to qualifying households with at least one resident who participates in the U.S. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), with an address in AT&T’s 21-state service area, at which we offer wireline home Internet service, and without outstanding debt for AT&T fixed Internet service within the last six months or outstanding debt incurred under this program.

Offering two months of free service to new customers who order Access by April 30, 2020. $5/mo or $10/mo thereafter, depending on your speed.
