F The Prom Review

We’ve all waited for that one movie to come out and in the end, it’s a total let down. Every film tells a different story, but some are better than others. F The Prom is a movie that did not meet my expectations. It has to be the worst production ever made that tells a high school story. Between the shaky camera and predictable storyline, it wasn’t entertaining.

Every movie should be made to please an audience, but you can’t watch it if the camera is moving everywhere. It should be focused on one thing, not the ceiling, floor, or wall. Instead of watching the movie, you will be holding my television screen hoping it will stop the shakiness of the cameraman. Please, if you are making a movie, hire someone with a steady hand. If it helps, give them a local nail salon’s business card.

The entire thing was basically predictable. It was your typical high school movie where popularity, cheating, and lying take place. For once, why can’t someone come up with a creative way to go about high school films. It was a waste of an hour to sit there and watch something you saw from the beginning, but sometimes you get your hopes up. Anyone can tell you that high school doesn’t have one popular girl and guy running the entire thing who also happens to be a cheerleader and jock. Put some effort and time into this, everyone’s watching.

The only pleasing part of this movie is the lesson it was trying to teach teens for the future. If you are being made fun of or judged in any way, you need to speak to someone about it and never stay quiet. In this movie, it showed all the popular kids making fun of the typical nerdy and “different” kids ,and they ended up getting back at them. No one enjoys being picked on, and when you get a taste of your own medicine, it can really put you in your place.

Hopefully, this movie review helps you when deciding which movie to watch. This cliche movie deserves its 2.7 out of 5 stars rating. Make sure you always look at the comments on these films before you watch them. Next time, you’ll be more prepared.
