Online Metronome Instructions:
1. What is a metronome:
A metronome is like a musical clock that keeps a steady beat for you.
It makes a steady click, click, click sound so you can stay in rhythm while you play.
2. Why we use it:
It helps a band to play evenly and together. It helps a student to play with a steady beat and consequently helps their rhythm. Think of it like the drummer in your band — it helps everyone march to the same beat.
3. How to use it:
Step 1: Set your tempo. You’ll see a number. Move the orange dot to the left or right to change that number. That number represents how many beats per minute the metronome is giving you — that’s called the tempo.
For example:
60 = slow like a heartbeat ❤️
120 = medium speed like walking 🚶
180 = fast like running 🏃
Step 2: Set the time signature and click "Accent On" if you want to accent the first beat.
Step 3: Press the Start button — you’ll hear steady clicks and then your are ready to play along.
4. Quick Tips
If it feels too fast and you can't play along— slow it down!
Start slow, then speed up only when you can play along with it cleanly.
Try to “lock in” with the click — like you and the metronome are playing together.
If you are still not sure about it, just play around with it and you'll get the hang of it!
