NEW student registration (Kindergarten & 1st Grade) for 2025-2026 school year is LIVE!
Typically, we begin registration for the school year at the beginning of the calendar year (for example: 2024-2025 registration will start around February of 2024). This helps us plan for how to best organize and schedule our teaching staff for the classes we anticipate in the fall.
Only a parent or legal guardian can enroll a child who resides at an address within the school's attendance boundary.
Children must be residents of Chichester, NH and be 5 years old ON or BEFORE September 30th to register for Kindergarten.
Children must be residents of Chichester, NH and be 6 years old ON or BEFORE September 30th to register for first grade.
There are more details on our main registration page, but you will provide the school with the following (either through digital upload or as hard copies):
Contact information for the child, all legal guardians and the child's physician
A copy of their birth certificate/proof of citizenship if born outside of the US
Documentation of proof of residency (*see form for more details)
A copy of the child's current immunization records
A copy of the child's last physical
Any court documents regarding legal custody (if applicable)
If you are enrolling your child in another school within our SAU, please contact our school. We can transfer students within our SAU within ALMA but will still require the physical or digital copies of the required forms for our records.
If you are coming to us from outside of SAU53, please use our registration process for new students.
This is not a problem. Please contact Chichester Central School as soon as you know that plans have changed so we can update our records.
Typically, we begin digital re-enrollment in the summer (August) to provide families with ample time to complete the required forms and update our system information before students are back at school.
There are more details on our main registration page, but you will provide the school with the following (either through digital upload or as hard copies):
Updated contact information for the child, all legal guardians and the child's physician
A copy of the child's current immunization records
A copy of the child's last physical dated no more than one year prior to the start of school (Ex: School starts August 27, 2020, physical must be from August 27, 2019 or later)
Any court documents regarding legal custody (if applicable)
This is not a problem. Please contact Chichester Central School as soon as you know that plans have changed so we can update our records.
It is important that the school keep current contact information, medical information and permissions on file for the current school year. In many cases, state and federal laws only allow these permissions to last for one school year. Also, policies and laws may change year to year requiring a refresh of permissions. We hope that having this digital process, we are able to streamline this so contact information only needs to be updated if there are changes.
ALMA is our Student Information System for our SAU. It is the system that we use to centralize digital registration forms, student grades, and student information. Parents/guardians access ALMA to complete registration, annual permission forms, and to view student grades and report cards.
Paper forms are very costly for the school to print and send out to all students each year. They also are very time consuming to organize and ensure that everyone has their forms submitted in a timely manner. By having digital forms, our information is centralized in a secure location and the office can easily create reports of specific data such as who has permission to have access to a Chromebook with a click of a button. Digital forms also help eliminate errors in our information system from recent updates to contact information or from typos by entering information from handwritten forms.
ALMA can be used on many devices including smart phones. If you are unable to use a device at home to register/complete re-enrollment forms, please reach out to our school tech team for assistance. 603-798-5651.
ALMA can be used on many devices including smartphones. ALMA Start forms can be completed on computers, laptops, tablets, or other mobile devices that connect to the internet with a web browser. Many people prefer to complete ALMA Start forms on smartphones or tablets because any opportunities to upload official documents (ie. immunization records and physical) can be easily done through a click of the camera on the device. People also find it convenient to have their email account easily accessible if they are verifying a new ALMA Start account.
Go to sau53.almastart.com. Alternatively, if you already have a child in SAU53 and you have an ALMA account, you can log into your ALMA Parent portal and then select your child from the left hand side and click on forms below where their schedule appears.
No. ALMA Start Forms can be completed by either parent or guardian. All parents/guardians will receive ALMA Portal accounts which will allow access to the student grades. If there are legal guardianship questions or concerns about custody please contact the school directly for assistance.
If you need to reset your ALMA Start password, go to https://sau53.almastart.com and click on "Trouble Logging in". You will need your username to reset your password. Typically, this this the email address or phone number you first used ALMA Start with. If you are unsure, contact the school tech team for assistance (ccs-tech@sau53.org)
When you create your ALMA Start account for completing digital forms, ALMA start asks for an email or phone number. If you are new to ALMA Start, create a new account. If you have used ALMA start for forms in the past, but don't know your login you can recover your account by clicking on "Trouble Logging In" at sau53.almastart.com. The username is likely the email or phone number you used when you first registered. If you are still unsure which email address or phone number it could be, please contact the school tech team for assistance (ccs-tech@sau53.org).
If you are new to ALMA Start go to sau53.almastart.com and click Create Account. Fill out the provided form and check your email for the verifcation link to activate the account. Our registration process is in sections so guardians complete each section prior to gaining access to the next, please complete the section by answering all required questions to move forward in the process. Our digital registration process is broken down into four sections: Proof of Residency & Guardianship, Student Information, Medical Records, and School Permissions.
We do require copies of several official documents to complete the enrollment process. These can be uploaded as part of our digital registration process or hard copies can be provided to the school. If you plan to submit hard copies, you can complete all other required portions of the digital registration forms. Please note: student enrollment is not complete until the school has all digital registration forms AND copies of the required official documents (either by digital upload or as physical copies).
We do our best to digitize as many forms into this enrollment/re-enrollment process for ALMA Start, however unforeseen circumstances or changes in NH law/school policy may prompt new permission forms throughout the year. Field trip forms or activities/assignments that go beyond our traditional school setting may require permission forms for that specific event/activity/assignment. These are sent out when specific events/activities/assignments arise as opportunities for our students. A couple examples could be: a class video call from an expert in a topic we are learning about or a project that requires access to special materials or technology.
