Above is a photo from a 5th grade classroom lesson taught by Ms. Olson, in which students explored how expressing gratitude through small words or actions can positively impact others and create a ripple of kindness throughout the school community.
Below is an interactive bulletin board created and facilitated by the counseling team, where students played against teachers each day by rolling the dice. Each move along the board taught students about kindness, standing up to bullying, and the importance of being a responsible and compassionate school citizen.
Our School Counseling Program offers individual, small group and classroom lessons covering a wide variety of topics.
School Counselors deliver Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum using the Kimochis curriculum in grades K-2 as well as additional lessons that are research-based and meticulously aligned with the ASCA Mindset and Behavior Standards, as well as the CASEL competencies throughout the school year. These lessons compliment other Tier 1 Programming, such as 6-8 Grade Advisory.
