Kindergarteners are enjoying fall-themed books, working on alphabetical order, and learned how to use our first technology tool: Beetbots!
1st Grade
1st graders are enjoying fall-themed books, reviewing alphabetical order, discussing fiction vs. nonfiction, and some Halloween STEM activities.
2nd Grade
This month we are talking about digital citizenship, reviewing fiction vs. nonfiction, and practicing procedural writing with some fall and Halloween-themed books.
3rd Grade
This month we discussing digital citizenship, learning how to use the library catalog to search for books, reviewing alphabetical order, and learning the Dewey Decimal system with some fun activities.
Open Browsing
Open Browsing
Every week I offer students a day and time to come down for open book browsing first thing in the morning. This allows students to return and check out books more frequently than their once per month library class weeks. The schedule is as follows:
Mondays and Fridays for all grades, first thing in the morning
