Hello, I'm Ms. Cornell-Smith. I graduated from Castleton State College with a degree in Mathematics and Elementary Education. This is my 27th year teaching second grade at HPS. I have a daughter who is a senior in high school and a son who is a senior in college. I take pride in building a strong classroom community where students will bond socially and work together cohesively. I motivate students by keeping learning fun, interesting and challenging. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, cooking, and working in my gardens. I can't wait to get to know you!
I’m Miss Donegan and you can find me in room 102. While this is my 24th year as an educator in NH, this is my second year at HPS. I attended Keene State College and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Elementary/Special Education. I attended Antioch University for Spectrum Disorders and received my Masters in School Counseling. I will complete a Doctorate program with Rivier University in School Psychology. I employ strategies within a classroom where students are allowed to move, use flexible seating, take brain breaks, be valued and learn with multiple intelligences. In my free time, I enjoy kayaking, hiking, biking, reading and the Boston Red Sox! I look forward to being your child’s teacher.
Hi! I’m Mrs. Jones, and I’m so excited to be your second grade teacher! I’ve been teaching for over 10 years, and I still get that first-day-of-school feeling every fall. This will be my first year in Hollis and I’m so excited and proud to be here. I live nearby with my husband and our two daughters, who keep life full of creativity, cartwheels, and glitter. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me making art, reading a good book or spending time with my family. I believe in creating a classroom where every child feels safe, seen, and celebrated. I love turning ordinary days into special ones, and I’m a big believer in finding joy in the little things—like a good read-aloud, a new techy gadget, a fresh set of markers, or a spontaneous dance party . I can’t wait to get to know your family and make this a year full of growth, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This is my third year teaching second grade at HPS. I am a proud Hollis Brookline alumni. I graduated from Salve Regina University with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. In our classroom, I strive to create an engaging environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Outside of school, I enjoy yoga, spending time with my family, and playing with my two dogs, Oscar and Diesel. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year!
Hi! I’m Miss McCool and this is my 5th year teaching second grade at HPS! I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2021 where I studied elementary education and Spanish. This spring, I will earn my MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a reading concentration from Southern New Hampshire University. My greatest priority is to create a classroom where every child feels seen, heard, and supported. This year, we’ll focus on building a strong sense of community rooted in kindness, trust, and respect. We will learn so much together and have lots of fun along the way!
Hi! I’m Mrs. McMullen. While this is my fifth year teaching at HPS, it’s my first year in second grade and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I graduated from Eastern Nazarene College, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I truly love what I do and am always learning and growing alongside my students. My goal is to ensure every child feels safe, respected, and valued in our classroom. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, my friends, and my two dogs, Opie and Rhea. I’m also a big Disney fan—so don’t be surprised to find a few Mickeys around our classroom! I’m looking forward to a magical year full of growth, joy, and learning!
