Meet the Danbury Elementary Staff

Alison Roberts principal

Miss Alison Roberts has been part of the Newfound family since the 2017-2018 school year. She earned her undergraduate degree from Houghton College in Houghton, NY and taught middle school and high school physical education and health for nine years in NH before working as a K-8 assistant principal. She served as an assistant principal for seven years before joining the Newfound Area School District as the principal of Danbury Elementary School. Miss Roberts also attended Plymouth State University where she earned her M.Ed, CAGS, and her Ed.D in Educational Leadership.

When not collaborating with teachers and talking with parents and students, Miss Roberts enjoys spending time outside with her family, friends, and her dogs. During the summer months, you may find her fishing on the riverbanks or riding the dirt bike trails. During the winter she enjoys snowboarding and snowshoeing.

Miss Mayne Kindergarten Teacher

This is my first year at DES, just like my kindergarten students! While I don’t have any pets of my own (unless you count our class mascot, Mr. Caterpillar), one of my favorite things to do outside of school is play with my friend’s and family’s dogs. I also enjoy hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and going to the lake!

Miss Brickley

grade 1 teacher

I graduated from Keene State College in 2019. While there I played field hockey.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy hanging out with my family, reading a good book, exercising, and going to the beach. I love warm weather!

Miss Ross

Grade 2/3 Teacher

Hi Everyone! I am Miss Ross and I teach second and third grade at DES. I am known for my colorful outfits and my love for adventure! No matter the season you are likely to find me on a mountain! My favorite time of the year is ski season and I am so lucky that I get to ski with all the students at Danbury Elementary School each year! This is my third year teaching at DES and everyday is a great day at DES!

Mrs. Erickson paraprofessional

This is my second year working at Danbury Elementary School, although I have worked as a para for more than 20 years. About 5 years ago my husband and I and our dog, Rosie built our dream home in Bridgewater, NH on a piece of land my grandfather bought on his honeymoon close to 100 years ago! I have two daughters and 3 grandchildren who I love to have come and visit in the summer. Since they live in fun places to visit (Nashville, TN and Swindon, UK) I also love to go visit them in their homes. My favorite things to do are gardening, reading, knitting, hiking and hanging out on Newfound Lake.

Stacy Maclean

school nurse

My name is Stacy MacLean. This is my first year as the School Nurse at DES, which I am LOVING! Prior to this, I worked in Maternity and the Nursery at Concord Hospital for 16 years, and was a nurse in the US Air Force for the previous four years. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at UNH. This is where I met my husband of 21 years, Dan MacLean, who is the Assistant Director at the TTCC. My boys are Tyler and Brady who are both at NRHS and have grown up here in the Newfound Area. I love my family, my dogs, crafts, bargain shopping, and Christmas!

Mr. Burke

Paraprofessional

This is my first year as a paraprofessional here at Danbury Elementary School. It is such a wonderful experience working with these great kids. Newfound has a special place in my heart because I grew up in Bristol, and I attended Bristol Elementary School.

When I’m not working with students, I am usually hanging with my kitties, visiting the ocean or cooking up delicious food for friends and family.

Raegan Kernen

Physical Education

This is my 16th year teaching elementary PE for the NASD. I am also a licensed Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer. I love to be outdoors exploring during all four of the beautiful NH seasons. I live in Center Harbor with my husband, two daughters, son, dogs, cats, and chickens.
