Lamprey River Elementary School Students begin the study of recorder in the 3rd grade. This is a pre-band program designed to introduce students to reading music and help prepare them for a band instrument (or any instrument) they choose to play in the future. In Raymond, the band program starts in the 5th grade.
This year, students will be using the Be a Recorder Star Method Book by Ed Sueta. The package will include a Kingsley Soprano Recorder and a digital copy of the book that students can use at home on a PC, Chrome Book and most tablets.
