Borrowing
We have books, magazines and play-a-ways for students to borrow. Items are circulated for one week, and students are allowed to renew as long as no one else has requested the item.
The following is the number of items a student may borrow each week:
Kindergarten - 1 item
1st grade - 2 items
2nd grade- 3 items
3rd grade- 4 items
4th grade- 5 items
No fines are assessed for overdue items; however, the student may not borrow another item from the library until everything is returned.
If items are lost or badly damaged. the student will be charged for the cost of replacing the item. If an item is paid for and then the item is found, we simply reimburse.
Schedule
Schedule
Students in grades kindergarten through third will exchange books during their scheduled library lesson block. Students in fourth grade will exchange books during a time scheduled by their classroom teacher. This allows for more time researching and learning informational skills during the library lesson block.
Library lessons are part of the Unified Arts Six Day Rotation.
