Creating an Assignment in which a Student Submits a URL (including Google Drive)

Step 1

Create/add an Assignment in a Module.

Step 2

Add in directions and any necessary learning materials. If you want students to receive their own copy of your Google Drive item, update the URL for your Google item (in the URL for your Drive item, delete up to the last backslash and write “copy”) and paste the new link into your instructions.

Step 3

Select Online as the Submission Type. Then select Website URL.

Step 4

Students will be cued to copy the URL for their Google Drive item. Notice they also have the option to pull directly from their Drive. Then they Submit.
