Number Talks

Number Talks, often called math talks, are a brief daily classroom routine where students mentally solve computation problems and talk about their strategies. Students learn to make sense of mathematics in their owns ways, learn to critique the reasoning of others, and make convincing arguments about the math.

Which one Doesn't Belong (@WODBMath on Twitter) - four images are given (values, graphs, pictures, etc) and the students take time to determine which one does not belong. Well created WODB will be open ended and allow students to identify reasons for why each one does not belong with the other three.
