This course will introduce the student to the importance of physical activity as a component of every healthy lifestyle. Students will participate in activities such as fitness development, team activities, initiative games and individual sports and other activities. Emphasis in this course will be placed upon various rules and skills in team games such as soccer, flag football, team handball, lacrosse, floor hockey, volleyball, basketball, softball, and other team sports. In addition, fitness principles, traditional and nontraditional activities will be incorporated throughout the trimester and other activities.
