Outdoor Education

Students will be introduced to the Community Building/Project Adventure curriculum. This Community Building curriculum will involve a wide variety of learning activities that will often include fun icebreakers, warm-up games, unique non-traditional games, group problem solving activities, as well as some traditional activities, all in preparation for the low/high ropes course challenges.  The high ropes can vary from 40-60 feet in height. Technical skills such as belaying, knot tying and proper care of climbing gear. Of highest importance, a safe and friendly classroom environment will be promoted.  Trust building, listening skills, cooperation, and a willingness to try new activities are essential components for success in this class.
