Hi Artists!
You are going to become photographers! What if you don't have a fancy camera? That is ok. Maybe you have a phone? Smart phones have made photography easier than ever!
I have invited a professional photographer to share her story. Please be sure to read about Laura. She is really looking forward to seeing what you capture. Maybe she will send some photos for our online gallery!
YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Take photos of things you find interesting from all different angles (above, below, to the side, behind...). Taking outside photos is a great idea. Start with the auto setting on your camera or phone. I will add some tips if you want to try some other settings.
I will be creating a separate online photo gallery. Email photos to Enardone@sau21.org
As always, have fun creating!

CAMERA SETTINGS
The A is the auto setting on your camera. The camera does most of the work figuring out what to do to get a great picture. Mine has an A+.
The RUNNING GUY is for fast action! Give it a try!
The FACE is for portraits- get close and keep your hand very steady.
Smart phones have a lot of the same settings!
My camera has a lot of sand on it- oops, I take a lot of photos at the beach in all kinds of conditions!

Life is a tapestry of beautiful moments eager to be shared.
Since I was a little girl, I have always relished getting up early to watch the sunrise and enjoy adventures, almost always with my camera in hand. Wherever I go, I see an ever moving, ever changing landscape. A seemingly simple or banal moment transformed into art. The way that light touches an image, the depth and range of colors, the power and beauty of black and white, every curve, every angle, all of this enriched and forever preserved in that perfect moment by a camera. My camera is to me like paint to an artist. Fast forward 20 years, my camera is still in hand, my constant companion that brings happiness.
