The first three goals of the Coös Coalition for Young Children and Families (CCYCF) are to build collaboration among organizations, avoid duplication and create efficiencies among systems, and develop a coordinated resource service system. In service of these goals, CCYCF partners established a plan to use expertise within the Coalition leadership group to develop and pilot a team-based model of support for families. 

In Coös county, there is a small group of families with multiple, complex needs who could benefit from a wraparound approach to engage and coordinate multiple services. However, there is currently no mechanism for coordinating and wrapping resources and supports around individual families who have tertiary prevention needs. This pilot project will provide a wrap-around model of support for families with the most complex needs from birth to age 8. The pilot will serve 4-8 families in the Androscoggin Valley area. If successful, learning from the pilot will be applied to replication efforts in additional locations beginning in 2024.

Staff and parents from the Family Resource Center helped develop the name for the project, Raising Strong Families and created the logo.
