What it is
A 5x5 inch canvas that students can decorate however they want. It is encouraged to participate and celebrating our legacy. Future classes will also receive these canvases in the following years.
Examples: Collaging photos of friends, sports, or memories of high school. Drawing, painting, coloring, and collaging tiles of anything you'd like.
Topics include and aren't limited to: Sports, video games, music, memes, pop culture, trends and any interests. A 2023 time capsule. Designs should not have anything that is against school rules to avoid rejection of canvas. "Something you would show your grandma"
The bottom of this page has picture examples.
If students do not want to decorate them, return it to Mrs. Morse at H201 by May 12th. Do not break, lose or throw away them, we have a limited amount.
Legacy
The purpose of the Senior Canvas Project is that each graduating senior student has the opportunity to be remembered at the school permanently while showing creativity. It's our goal that we will be able to show family, friends, and underclassmen our favorite moments or interests in a lasting form. It's one of the few things that us students can leave behind in the school, where many students before us were forgotten. It's like an autograph wall. Let us show everyone the class of 2023 is the best.
Painting workshops
For those interested, workshop days include April 20th, May 2nd (A214) and 11th after school in A215. A215 is upstairs in the art wing near the main stairway. After school will be 2:30-3:30. There is paint and brushes supplied. These paints are used for creating a colorful or a solid background on the canvas for students to design. We aim to have the walls colorful so it is not all white tiles on the wall. Students can also use this time to decorate their canvas in any way they like.
These hallways will be where the Canvases will be put up.
Hallways are upstairs next to the main stairs and leading into the F wing with the windows.
