Hello Everyone-I just wanted to update everyone on the amount of work being sent home to be completed. As of late, using formative assessments and class participation and work, I have noticed some pockets of skills that are lacking among the class as a whole. Although I do not typically assign homework as a practice, the skills practices that are being sent home are purposeful and warranted. Students have time during morning and afternoon homeroom blocks to work on this as well as other brief intermittent opportunities throughout the day. A lot of students are completing a good deal of this work at school as they are using their executive functioning skills to manage this work. I just wanted to you all to be aware and be on the same page. Some nights- some students may have an assignment- some nights not. Everyone is also working at their own pace as well. Thank you for your reinforcement at home. Especially with reading chapter books and math practice!
