Sarography

What is it?

Sarography is not a word you can find in the dictionary. It is a made up term that combines my name with geography (Sarette + geography = Sarography). Each day we spend 10 minutes discussing the physical and cultural aspects of countries around the world.

Why do we need to know geography?

In a world that is ever changing and globally connected via technology it is vital to understand the world in which we live in. Learning about different cultures can broaden the mind and how we see the world. Geography can help us have a better understand of historical events such as why, where, and how wars are fought.

The Goal

The goal is to help students develop a mental map of the world. They will learn about the real world they live in (outside of a computer screen) and explore how others live and what the world looks like outside of Hooksett, NH.
