Birthdays are special for everyone, especially for younger children! The excitement builds as the day approaches. We, as Kindergarten teachers, want to share in our students excitement so in our classrooms they will be the star of the day!
Your child will be identified as the ‘Birthday Girl/Boy’ by wearing a birthday crown for all to see. Our calendar, number line and graphing activities will be our focus that day so we can make the special date stand out in our classrooms. It is also always fun for your child to proudly wear their crown and accept HAPPY BIRTHDAY messages from their classmates and the school community. Finally, if you would like to add to your child’s special day, we invite you to send in one of his/her favorite books from home to be shared with the class. Your child can read it to us, we can read it to everyone, or this might be the perfect time for you to visit with us as a guest reader and be a part of your child's special day.
