In my role, I am often asked questions about therapists.
How do I get one, who should I go to, who is really good, how do I know if it is working, and so on. The answers are not simple. The process for finding the support that works for an individual is highly personal and may take a little research.
Therapists, like all of us, come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Many have specialties, particular ways of working, approaches that you may be comfortable or uncomfortable with, and many work only with people with a particular need or focus.
In the next window, I have identified a couple of ideas to help you find the support that fits for you.
