Used across the Derry Cooperative School District with a combination of other School Counseling resources and activities, Second Step is a program rooted in social-emotional learning (SEL) that helps transform schools into supportive, successful learning environments uniquely equipped to encourage children to thrive.
Through its engaging lessons, Second Step uses fun videos, stories, and activities to promote healthy decision-making, empathy, good communication skills, and how to manage strong emotions.

Sometimes it's tough to motivate students to do their work, especially if they are having difficulties with self-confidence, self-esteem, or they are just not happy about doing the work. Figuring out how to help students do their best can be challenging. Perhaps some of these resources can help.
