The Ministry of Education issued an order to open Satriwithaya School and announced in the Government Gazette to endorse it as a public school. Therefore, that day was considered the founding day of the school. Later, the school moved to various locations namely Charoenkrung Road behind Burapapirom Palace, a building on Ratchabopit Road, an area next to Soponpipattanakorn Publishing and Din Building respectively.

In 1939, Satriwithaya School relocated to the current location at the corner of Democracy Monument, Ratchadamnoen Road. The pride of Satriwithaya School is being the school where Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother studied during her early ages.
