Students

Hi, we are the Climate Club students!

Hi, my name is Dee. I joined the EPTS Climate Club in 2017 so that makes me a relatively new member in this community. As a diehard Sci-Fi/cyberpunk fan and a life-long tech enthusiast, I am profoundly intrigued by the different facets of space technology and, more importantly, how it could be adapted to elevate the life quality on Earth. However, that is not the main reason I joined this club. From a personal standpoint, I really like and support how the Climate Club brings together the hardly-tangible concepts of meteorology and social issues to raise awareness about pressing environmental concerns. Therefore, it is my aspiration to be a part of the Climate Club to further this good endeavor while having fun with other enthusiasts!

Hello! My name is Pitsinee Narunatvanich, or you could call me Pat. I am in M1/343. I love music, and my favorite subjects are Math and English. My biggest achievement is I am Thailand’s 7th national impromptu speech in 2019. The reason that I wanted to join this club because I love our planet Earth, and I think that even though we are still young, we can help make this planet better. In my opinion, our Earth is needing our attention, and it is warning us by climate change. However, most people ignored it. I hope that I will take good care of the Earth, and I believe everyone in this club has the same target as well.

That made me interested in the climate because I learned how important it is to our lives.

Hi, I am Kanuth, I have been in this club for two years. Firstly, I need to say best thank you to the Climate Club for giving me an opportunity to learn and access toward some lessons and subjects outside the classroom. For two years in this club, it was a great experience, since this club not only teaches me knowledge, but it also gives me an opportunity to gain experiences throughout the work and projects assigned. Therefore, I decided to be in this club, which I believe that it would also be a wonderful academic year for us together this year as well! 😊

I am surprised that there is even a meeting with NASA scientist Dr Lin Chambers! I think in my opinion everybody should give it a try at the climate club and enjoy its food and activities.

Hi, I'm Yuri. I joined the EPTS climate club in 2017. As for me, studying about weather and climate is always an interesting topic. In this club, I got to meet new people and experience new challenges and projects. Apart from doing research and analyzing data, the best part of this was that we got to work as a team to reach our goals, supporting and assisting one another. I totally enjoy being a part of this club. Excited to see what we're up to this year!

Hi! My name is Atom. In this picture I am on the right side. I came from a distant school in Lopburi. My childhood was like any other child in my school, but my school wasn't teaching enough knowledge for me to pass the exam into Satit Patumwan. So my parents helped me strive for knowledge by helping me by driving me all the way to Bangkok and paying tutors to teach me. I then proceeded to go to Bangkok every weekend until the final week and here I am now because of the help of my parents. The reasons I joined Climate Club is because I like science and want to become an archaeologist one day, because I have a fascination for dinosaurs - and also every meeting I don't need to eat school lunch!

Hello everyone! My name is Shain. I'm 14 years old and I'm currently studying in the EPTS Program at PDS School. Before I came to this school, I went to Attamit School. My favorite colors are red and black. My favorite hobby is playing games with my friends. I also like doing homework IF I have time and I can do it. My goal for now is to get all grade 4s all the way to M3. My favorite subject is English, and this is the reason that I entered this program. My favorite food is Nam Tok Mu (waterfall pork), which is a North-Eastern Thai dish. But that doesn't mean I came from the Northeast. I'm from Bangkok. The Climate Club is a really interesting club for everyone who is interested about weather and climate. Join us, and have some fun! Also, we have an activity called 'Working Lunch'. If you don't like school lunch, this activity will be perfect for you!

My name is Jeng. I'm a grade 10 student in the EPTS program. Back when I was a child, I always said to my dad "I want to work at NASA." When I was in grade 7, Ajarn Craig arranged for us to have a video conference with a NASA scientist. By that time, I had already forgotten my childhood dream which was disappointing. However, people grow up, and when I was in grade 9, I realized that I had to take school more seriously. Still, I only cared about grades, not activities and clubs. I only started to recognize how important school activities are by the time I was in grade 10. I wasted no time and started joining clubs that I felt suited me and the EPTS Climate Club was one of them. I didn't know why, however, I never regretted my decision. At all.

My name is Tam and I am studying French at Patumwan Demonstration School in the EPTS. I love to read especially fantasy and romance novels. I really like Greek mythology, makeup, celebrity news, and shoes, also world history and current events. I am 15 years old and currently studying in grade 10. I joined the weather club in my first year here and it was a great decision. I really have fun and have gained lots of interesting knowledge from the club. I also get to participate in many exclusive and intriguing activities. I have learned many facts and get to work with other people, while enjoying myself at the same time.

Hello! My name is Namo. I am new to the EPTS climate club. I am 12 years-old now and I am in Mathayom 1. My best subjects are science and math. In the future I want to be a scientist and when I first found out about climate club, I was so excited to join it and I hope you are too.

Hi! My name is Magic and I'm currently in M4. I'm interested in the Climate Club because its purpose is to make other people aware of what's happening to the environment. It also gives you opportunities to chat with people who have the same ideas as you. Another great thing about the Climate Club is that we have video calls and visits from NASA scientists. This really helps with your portfolio. The club also has free pizza!!!

My name is Nina. I am a Grade 11 Math-Science student in EPTS. Since I was a little monkey, reading science articles, books, and magazines have always been passions of mine. My interests have brought me to this amazing club as I’m always looking for something new to do as a high schooler. Outside of school, I also enjoy studying architecture and other extra art classes. I’m looking forward to observing and doing activities as a member of this club :)

Hi! My name is TonPai. I'm in secondary school grade 9 at Patumwan Demonstration School English Program, Thailand. I originally came from the countryside in Chonburi, and one day I got to learn how to do labs. From this point, I then got interested in science subjects and experiments so I joined this club. This club helps us learn in a scientific way and to do real experiments to analyze them in an uncomplicated way, so it's easier for others to understand and to make more amazing results. I'm also trying to use technology to improve the way I'm learning. We are working as a team to make this project great!

Hi everyone! My name is Junae. I started attending Patumwan Demonstration School in Grade 10, and now I’m in Grade 11. I’m a major in Math-Science. My friends introduced me to the EPTS Climate Club. I have been a club member club for almost one year. I have gained tons of experiences, knowledge, and connections. Sometimes I take part in holding club meetings, and I also helped to organise the Climate Club activities for the PDS open house. Lastly, I want to say that I’m so glad to meet everyone and be a part of the Climate Club family:)♡

Hello Everyone! Let me introduce myself. My name is Ploy. I am studying at Patumwan Demonstration School, where I am studying in grade 11. My major is Science-Math. I joined the EPTS Climate Club about a year ago. I learned about teamwork and many things for this club. I really enjoy my responsibilities, including helping co-workers to achieve their work, observing and analyzing data, planning for meetings, and also being activities co-coordinator. For me, the EPTS Climate Club is one of the best choices to have such great experiences.

Hi! I'm Nuk. Currently, I am a grade 12 student, studying in the Math-Science major. This is my second year in EPTS Climate Club. As one of my interest is space technology, it is such a great opportunity to participate in this club. I had a chance to do many things that I have never imagined: met a former NASA astronaut, helped the club's exhibition and planned the meetings. Besides, I always get something back after each working lunch. It's like the place where I update my knowledge on the current events related to climate and space in depth. Lastly, I have a good time as a club member. I am looking forward to the club's upcoming projects.

My name is Som. I'm a student at Patumwan Demonstration School. I'm now 15 years old. This year, I became a member of the Climate Club because I am interested in earth science. When I was in M1 (grade 7), my class did a project with NASA, which was the cloud observation project, and we had a conference with a scientist. That activity was my inspiration to do science projects and research. Then I decided to join this club to work in a process like scientists do, work with technological tools, and use the data to analyze the current situation of our planet.

My name is Nhamking. I was born in 2004. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand with my mother, father, sister, and grandmother. I have loved drawing since I was a little and I still do. I really enjoy using my creativity, and doing things outside of the box. That's why I enjoy art and music a lot. I was raised in the outskirts of Bangkok, so having the chance to join in with this amazing club is very wonderful for me and I am very grateful. I am so excited to see what this year will bring and what I can learn from this club. Hopefully, I can help out with this website and be able to benefit from it as well.

Hi! My name is Eyye I have been in the club for 2 years now, since M.1. Last year I made the bulletin board with my friends. I like astronomy a lot I often watch a lot of science related movies like Interstellar. I am very interested in astronomy and physics so that is why this club is perfect for me. In this club I get to do presentations a lot about science and I pretty much really enjoyed it, but for this year I am not doing the bulletin board now, but I am controlling the website, which is super interesting. I really enjoy being in this club so I hope that you are going to be interested, join me, and have more fun!
