About the Course:
Modi script was a major script for correspondence in Maharashtra from 13th to 19th Century. That is why crores of Historical Documents and property and legal deeds are available in Modi Script. These days, there is growing demand for Modi experts, who are already scarce in numbers, to transliterate and translate the above mentioned documents.
Our certificate and advance courses in Modi script have been designed to respond to the scarce market demand. Our certificate course introduces students, to Modi alphabets and grills him thoroughly in the reading and writing of Modi Script.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this course , students should able to :
Read and write 19th and 20th century Modi Documents fluently.
To do elementary calligraphy in Modi.
To Transliterate in Devnagri and Translate in English, 19th and 20th century Modi Documents.
Course Contents:
Modi alphabets, vowels, consonants, conjunctions and variations.
Reading and Writings of 19th and 20th Century Modi as well as legal letters, property deals, the historical documents of Shivaji, Peshwa and Tanjavur
Modi compositions, comprehensions, story and letter writings.
Transliteration from Modi to Devanagari and Devanagari to Modi.
Translation and Precise from Modi to English and English to Modi.
Modi Calligraphy on cloth, paper and plywood
Creative writing in Modi.
Practice teaching and research paper writing.
Course Duration: 210 hrs. Credits: 14
Course fees: Rs. 5,700/- ( Five thousand seven hundred only)
Minimum required intake: 18
