Jaden started the Performing Arts in the Pandemic Project in collaboration with Platt Student Performing Arts House in March 2021. Jaden cares about the intersection between creativity and commemoration, so he started this passion project first as producer and co-host of the Backstage @ Platt House podcast. The podcast's second season, entitled the Performing Arts in the Pandemic, premiered in April 2021 and featured 12 episodes capturing the stories of UPenn student-artists and arts administrators affected by the pandemic.
As a continuation of the project, Jaden created this website in December 2021 to gather individual testimonials and share people's stories in a different format. The individual testimonials and timeline were motivated by a final project in Jaden's American Monuments class where he was assigned to propose a new memory work to something under-commemorated. This commemoration to college students' stories during the Covid-19 pandemic is his proposal.
Jaden would like to thank the following people for their time and support: all interviewees, Professor Jared Farmer, Molly Leech, JM Duffin & Sara Outing.
