Sarratt School Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today, at the end of our fist week in school, we came together to remember and give thanks for Queen Elizabeth. We all shared our fond memories of celebrating Jubilee Day and took time to reflect upon her remarkable life of dedication and service and the example she has set for us all.

Here is a message for our whole school community from Bishop Richard at The Diocese of St Albans...

To everyone in our family of Church of England schools

Dear Friends,

The death of our beloved monarch, Queen Elizabeth, impacts on us all. My prayers are with you as in your school community you give thanks for her life and service over so many years. My memories of celebrating her Platinum Jubilee are still fresh in my mind. As we give thanks for her, we remember those values and virtues that were at the heart of her life. Among them duty, service and love, along with her living Christian faith. May we honour her by reflecting them in our lives. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

Loving God,

our Queen has died and people are sad.

Thank you for her long life

and her care for her people.

We pray for our new King.

Bless and guide him as his reign begins.

Amen.

+Richard

Bishop of Bedford

I hope you all have a peaceful weekend.

Warmest regards,

Nicola O'Hare

Head of School
