Sarratt School Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
A huge well done and congratulations to our Sarratt Swim Team who took Sheffield by storm at the weekend. The team competed against schools nationwide in the English Schools Swimming Association Finals, competing in the mixed Medley and the Mixed Freestyle relays. Despite the nerves, they performed amazingly making both B finals! Our little school is 12th in the country for freestyle and 16th for the mixed medley! This is an awesome achievement - Nell, Matthew, Tom, Ivy, Henry and Coach Goldspring - we salute you!!!
The Swimming was the perfect way to kick start National Sports Week. There has been so much sport to celebrate this week - athletics, netball and more swimming. The highlight being our fabulous sports days! It was wonderful to have a live audience for the first time in 3 years. The day was captured on camera by Kim Whitewood and in film by Anna Serby. Watch the films below to see the children (and parents!) in action.
There's lots more to pack into the final weeks of term. Next week we will be sending out school reports followed by details of the staffing structure for next academic year. Year 6 will receive notification of KS2 SAT results the following week once these have been released to schools by the DfE. In our ongoing endeavour to reduce paper use, reports will be sent out electronically - look out for these next Friday.
Warmest regards,
Nicola O'Hare
Head of School

Father’s Day Building Competition
We had a wonderful response to our Father's Day Building Competition. Well done to everyone who took part - we had constructions made of lego, card, wood and sand! Judging by some of the pictures and messages, I'm not sure who enjoyed the challenge the most - the children or the dads! All of the entries were so unique, it was tough decision but here are our winners:
Reception: Ava, Lilia and Marley
Year 1: Lola
Year 2: Harris
Year 3: Darcy, Georgie and Bertie
Siblings: Iris and Isaac, and Massimo and Lucian
Well done builders (don't forget to share your goodies with dads!).

Letter From St Paul's
Years 3 & 4 were asked to sing a special arrangement of the National Anthem in celebration of the Queen's Jubilee. This was videoed and sent to St Paul's Cathedral where it was part of a montage given as a give for Her Majesty. This week we received a letter of thanks from St Paul's, informing us that our school name is written in a special commemorative book. Well done Years 3 & 4! We really are part of history now!
