We have been enjoying the sunshine both in and out of school this week. Our local area looks at its very best at this time of year, with our beautiful cherry tree in full bloom and the stunning bluebell woods right on our doorstep. Reception, Year 3 and Year 4 took full advantage of this by heading out to explore the joys of spring in Sarratt. Armed with their sketchbooks, the children spent time observing and capturing the natural world through drawings inspired by the landscape around them.
It is always a pleasure to see the positive and caring way in which our children of different ages interact and support one another - it really makes our small school special.
Next week, we have lots to look forward to, including a visit from our good friends at Electric Umbrella, who will be in school sharing some exciting new songs with us.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and are able to enjoy the spring sunshine.
Warmest regards,
Nicola O’Hare
Head Teacher

Millie has been displaying remarkable determination and motivation in preparing herself for transition to Year 1. She is a superstar in maths and phonics too!
Elijah is so enthusiatic about learning in all subjects. He is loving the challenge of verbs, nouns and adjectives not to metion multiplication and division!
Aletta has impressed me wih her hard work starting our new topic, Rivers. She showed care and an eye for scientific detail on her diagram of the water cycle!
Amiyah is so caring towards everyone in Year 4. She also so keen to learn and apply herself - most recently in Spanish lessons where she is becoming a confident speaker!
Ben has made such a fantastic start to this term - showing a positive attitude toward learning. With SATs looming, Ben has continued to work really hard in his preperation and approach.
As many of you are aware, the nursery provision in Sarratt will be changing from September. Sarratt Ducklings will be closing, and Jack in the Box will be opening a new nursery provision in the village.
Sarratt Ducklings has provided 30 wonderful years of care and support to the children and families of Sarratt. Many of our children have benefitted greatly from the high level of care, nurture, and dedication shown by Mrs Ingram, Mrs Roberts and the whole Ducklings team. Their commitment has had a lasting impact on generations of children, and they will be remembered with great fondness and appreciation by our community.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Ingram and everyone involved with Ducklings for their tireless work and unwavering commitment over the years.
