Thank you so much for your generous donations towards our PTA Christmas Fair next week. We are all very excited to begin the festive season next Friday with a wonderful array of stalls, a visit from Santa, and plenty of Christmas treats!
It is also time to start booking tickets for our Christmas performances. Rehearsals are now underway for the Lower School Nativity and the Upper School music performance, both of which promise to be truly special events. Please see the information below for details on how and when to reserve your seats.
We are delighted to share the progress of our new build, which we have been able to watch unfold each day. The foundations are now being laid for our Reception Class and Ducklings Nursery. Once complete, the building will also provide much-needed additional space for small group sessions and music. This exciting development has only been made possible thanks to the funding we secured through a successful bid to the DfE’s Condition Improvement Fund.
We wish you all a lovely weekend – and do keep warm!
Warm regards,
Nicola O’Hare
Head Teacher

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Parenting in the Digital Age talk on Wednesday. The session was both informative and eye-opening, shedding light on the realities of smartphones and social media for children and teenagers. A special thank you goes to Louise Field and Camilla Hadland for organising this valuable event.
For those who were unable to attend, please keep an eye out for further updates.
Papaya also host webinars throughout the year. This Wednesday they will be delivering a parent webinar titled The Power of Play: Rediscovering Childhood in the Digital Age. The session will explore the importance of play in childhood development and wellbeing, as well as the impact that screens can have on children. You can find out more about this event and book tickets here: The Power of Play Webinar — Papaya Talks
Lottie has settled in fabulously to her new classroom - she is an absolute superstar!
Edward is trying so hard to learn his sounds. He also has a wonderful pencil grip which allows him to form his letters beautifully.
Emmie is a super writer - this week she showed her skills writing about space and he first moon landing in fantastically neat script.
Krishika has produced amazing independent writing this week, using all the resources in the environment to uplevel her work!
Elizabeth has been pushing herself in all her lessons this week but she particularly impressed with her poster which used technical language to explain the layers of the earth.
Ava always tries her best. She is a delight to have in the classroom - kind, thoughtful and enthusiastic to learn!
Frankie and Joe are in the Gold Book this week for their outstanding achievements in cross country running. All of our Year 5 children took part in a competitive race around Chorleywood Common alongside local schools. In the boys’ event, Joe secured first place and Frankie came a close second – a fantastic and well-deserved result for them both.
There was further success in the team events, with both the boys and girls victorious in the relays. A huge well done to Team Year 5 for their brilliant effort and determination!
Grayson shows such quiet determination in all he does - always being his best self and pushing himself where he can. Reliable and trustworthy, Grayson can always be counted upon!

Time passes by
like a bird flying in the sky
Still I sit on a mossy rock
Hope runs in my veins
like a marathon runner
it never gives up
I've waited an eternity
