Courage Compassion Creativity
This week, we’re delighted to introduce our Sarratt School Ambassadors. Each year, our eldest children are invited to apply for the role of Core Value Ambassador, championing our key school values: Courage, Compassion and Creativity. These ambassadors play an important role in promoting and modelling these values across the school, while also contributing to whole-school events and projects.
This year, we’re proud to have a team of seven School Ambassadors: Ginny, Benji, Dottie, Amelia, Ben, Harry, and Poppy.
In addition to our Core Value Ambassadors, we also have a dedicated team of Sports Ambassadors who lead and promote physical activity throughout the school. They support teaching and learning by helping to organise and set up games and activities that encourage movement and teamwork. We’re pleased to announce that Grayson, Roddie, Sophie, and Eva have been appointed to these roles.
We look forward to hearing more from our ambassador teams as the year unfolds!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Warmest regards,
Nicola O'Hare
Head Teacher

Parent Consultations are a key part of our school calendar, offering a valuable opportunity for teachers to share insights into the curriculum, your child’s progress, and how we can best support their academic, social, and emotional development. It’s also a chance for you to share any information that will help us provide the best possible experience for your child.
To ensure all families can attend, we are offering both face-to-face and virtual appointments.
Parents’ Evening Dates:
Monday 20th October – In-person appointments from 3:30pm to 6:00pm
Tuesday 21st October – Online video appointments from 3:30pm to 6:00pm
Please note:
Monday appointments are in-person only. Children must not be brought to these meetings, as there will be no supervision available and they cannot be left unattended on site due to safeguarding regulations.
If you are unable to arrange childcare, we kindly ask that you book a virtual appointment on Tuesday instead.

Thank you,
Kind regards,
The Sarratt Team
Henry is working hard and paying close attention to detail - particularly in English! He is mastering the perfect balance between work and fun - making us all smile and laugh!
Kaitlin's passion for Glee Club blows me away each week! She has a great attitude and clearly practices her songs at home in preparation - her rendition of 'Do you hear the people sing' was so loud they probably heard it in the post office!
Arthur shows support for his classmates. This was particularly evident at a Tri-Golf Tournament last week, where Arthur shared tips and offered encouragement to help lead his team to success!
Gracie has made a remarkable start to year 5. Ready to learn from minute one, she is determined to progress - especially in maths where she has been working hard on column addition!
Iris has an impressive work ethic. She works hard in all areas but particularly in English where her vocabulary is ambitious and her ideas are thoughtful and creative!
Eloise has made a great start - rising to the challenge of Year 6. She has adapted so well to her new classroom and settled straight into Sarratt life - well done Eloise!
As many of you know, Camilla and Louise, fellow Sarratt parents, created a Smartphone Survey last term to better understand parents’ and carers’ attitudes and concerns around smartphone use among children. You can view the results by clicking the link below.
Building on the findings of the survey, Camilla and Louise have now organised a Parenting in the Digital Age workshop evening. The aim is to support parents and carers in navigating the challenges of raising children in a digital world.
When: Wednesday 19th November 7.30pm- 9pm.
Where: Sarratt School Hall/ or virtually.

Dear School Community,
My name is Mr. Williams, and I am the current Year 5 class teacher.
Since 2019, I have been jogging on and off. It has been a source of solace, motivation, and challenge for me throughout this time. This summer, an incredible opportunity arose to represent a remarkable charity—one with which I have a personal connection—in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday, 12th October 2025.
The charity is called Chain of Hope. Their vital work provides life-saving heart surgery and medical treatment to children who, due to political, racial, religious, geographical, or economic circumstances, would otherwise have no access to essential care for their heart conditions. These children’s futures would be cut short without this support. Chain of Hope offers these children and their families hope for a brighter and healthier future.
If you feel moved by this cause and are able to help, both the charity and I would be deeply grateful for any donations you can make. Please know that every penny raised will be used to save the life of a child.

Thank you very much for your kindness and support.
