Aloha! I am Mrs. Michele Hsieh. I have been teaching art in SUSD since 1999. I have taught all grades levels from Preschool to College and I found middle schoolers to be so much fun to teach and encourage their artmaking. Middle school is a great time to discover and try new things. They also are refining, as well as, learning new skills that will carry throughout life.
Originally, I am from Hawaii, but moved to the mainland and received my Bachelors in Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. I then continued my studies at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, for my Masters in Fine Arts and continued on to finish another Masters in Art Education from the Maryland Institute in Baltimore.
My hobbies include fostering rescue dogs for Rocket Dog Rescue, West Coast Bloodhound Rescue and Northern California Westie Rescue. I also enjoy camping, riding horses and true crime podcasts. I am married and have two children who have attended Argonaut, Redwood and Saratoga High.
