Social emotional learning is a huge component of my classroom. It is important that we all understand that educating the mind is important, but so is educating the heart.
I use the Mind Up curriculum provided by the Hawn Foundation to create a mindful classroom where we not only focus ourselves as we write, but we also learn the neuroscience behind how our brains work.
