Project Overview
Santa Cruz County public and school librarians and book lovers have created a list of the top 10 LGBTQ+ books that each school library should purchase. These lists are organized by grade span (K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12). The announcement of this list will be made during a luncheon and press conference at the Santa Cruz COE on June 14th, 2022. The afternoon will be the orientation and launch of the lesson plan writing process based on the chosen books.

Become part of a summer teacher cohort to learn more about LGBTQ+ history topics and people
Create lesson plan project components based on one or two grade level specific books
Be guided in the lesson plan writing process
