• Since the demand for this course is high, we propose a special course which offers students the opportunity to learn Sanskrit specifically to read the भगवद्गीता and other similar texts. It starts with training basic pronunciation of Sanskrit sounds, and proceeds in sequence to teach nominal declension, verbal conjugation, सन्धि and कारक so that students can identify forms in the verse, dissolve sandhi and construe the verse. All the examples will be used from the भगवद्गीता. The course aims to make students independent in understanding the भगवद्गीता and the other Sanskrit texts.

• Prerequisite: Prior training in recitation of the भगवद्गीता or even better if memorized.

• Schedule: 25 January--8 May 2023.

• Course meeting times: Monday and Wednesday 9.00--10.00 am U.S. Central Time. 8.30--9.30 pm IST

• Course fee: $1500.

• Course fee for Indian residents: ₹ 15,000.
