Library Rules

1. Library Membership

·         Entry to the library is allowed only with a valid College ID Card.

·         Every student must use his/her own library card to borrow books.

·         The library card is strictly non-transferable.

2. Borrowing of Books

·         Textbooks and Fiction are issued for home reading for one week to the students. Books will be issued only against a valid library card.

3. Reference Books & Periodicals

·         Reference books and periodicals are issued only for current reading within the library during working hours.

·         These materials must be returned on the same day.

·         They cannot be taken home.

·         During current reading, students must submit their I-Card at the library.

4. Previous Years’ Question Papers

·         Previous years’ question papers are available for current reading in the library.

5. Responsibility for Books

·         Students must check the condition of books at the time of issue.

·         Any damage should be reported immediately to the library staff.

·         If not reported, the borrower will be held responsible for the damage.

6. Loss or Damage of Books

·         If a book or periodical is lost or damaged, the student must replace the book or pay the cost of the item.

7. Overdue Charges

·         A fine of Re. 2 per day will be charged for books returned after the due date.

·         A fine of Rs. 50 per day will be charged if current reading books are not returned on the same day.

9. Discipline in the Library

·         Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the library. If found, they will be collected by the library staff. Silence and proper discipline must be maintained at all times.

10. Clearance Requirement

·         Examination results will be issued only after all library books and Book Bank books are returned.
