This Year's Texts:
This year, we will be reading several works of Edgar Allan Poe, The Outsiders, by S. E. Hinton, A Raisin in the Sun, by Lorraine Hansberry, and a collection of articles discussing the science behind brain development
In addition to these main texts, we will be looking at several articles, videos, and short stories. On occasion, we might take a break from a unit to practice specific skills, but for the most part, Common Core State Standards will be embedded in the larger units.
