Homeroom is not given an academic grade. But there is a CITIZENSHIP grade. And it is important.
Homeroom before first period everyday except Thursday.Â
During homeroom, students can expect to--
WATCH BTV
Bulldog Television (BTV) is Churchill's daily news program. It is put out by students for students. Episodes can be seen here.
Homeroom is when the principal will deliver video messages and when flyers that need to go home will be given to students.
LEARN
Students in 6th grade homeroom will learn about the school, including the academic honesty policy and what it means to be in an IB school.
Students will also practice social and emotional skills.
This will be based on the Positivity Project curriculum.
STUDY
Regularly, homeroom students will have quiet time to do homework, read, or classwork.
WEB
Eighth grade WEB leaders will periodically meet with their sixth graders--to check in, help with school work, play games, and just chat.
