As a high school ceramics teacher, technology in the classroom used to involve having potter's wheels, electric kilns, and traditional ceramics tools. Ceramic art is such an ancient form of art that require hands on working in clay, that we sometimes forget until a pandemic hits that using technology to teach ceramics to students in a remote location is possible with a computer, webcam (sometimes a document camera), an internet connection, and an app called ZOOM. Other excellent tools I like to employ in my classroom for student engagement in the virtual environment include Jamboard, Nearpod, Surveys, Kahoot, YouTube Videos, and many others.
