Mr. Cortez

Hello! My name is Eric Cortez, and I am the school counselor here at Coyle Avenue Elementary School. I hold a Master's degree in School Counseling and am certified to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development. With over 13 years of experience working in education, I am passionate about helping every student feel safe, supported, and successful. This will be my 9th school year here at Coyle, and I am very excited to be back. 

My approach centers on building strong relationships with students. I believe every child has unique strengths, and I work to empower them to overcome challenges and grow with confidence. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my own two little ones, cooking and working out.
