Class Overview

This course introduces students to essential digital literacy, productivity tools, and online communication skills needed for success in academic and professional settings. Students will explore ethical digital citizenship, research strategies, and tools in the Google Suite platform. A central feature of the course is the weekly production of the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Student News, a student-led broadcast that provides updates, interviews, and stories for the school community. Through this project, students will gain real-world experience in video editing, multimedia design, public speaking, and ethical journalism. Students will also complete major writing, research, and web development tasks aligned with 21st-century digital learning standards.
