Google Classroom will be our "mission control" for the course that you have with me. Classroom is a digital organizer where I can post assignments and updates for students. It is also paper-less, since it is all online, so YAY for the environment! You will be able to turn in the Google Docs and Google Slides you complete for assignments into my class directly in to Google Classroom. In addition, I will link our Google Classroom and TeacherEase, so that grades will be posted on both. Google Classroom is very user-friendly and I am excited to use it with you this year!

Classroom makes it easy for learners and instructors to connect—inside and outside of schools. Classroom saves time and paper, and makes it easy to create classes, distribute assignments, communicate, and stay organized.

To use Classroom, you sign in on your computer or mobile device and join classes. After you join a class, you can get work from your teacher and communicate with your classmates.

Parents can access their child’s teachers’ Google Classroom in one of the following ways:

1. From a school Chromebook, ask the student to login and launch the Google Classroom App.

2. From any computer with internet access, click this link https://classroom.google.com and have the student login with their SV Google Apps for education username and password.

3. As a guardian, you can receive email summaries showing your student’s progress in classroom.

   1. You can choose the frequency of the emails, such as daily or weekly.

   2. You can unsubscribe or remove yourself from Classroom at any time.
