San Felipe Neri Catholic School started as a privately owned school located in the backyard of San Felipe Neri Parish
1963 Miss Rosa A. Salazar, President of the Parish Confraternity of Our Lady of Lourdes, opened San Felipe Neri (Parochial School) as a nursery center.
1965 The school opened as an educational institution with a government permit to offer elementary education from the Department of Education.
1966 The school was granted government recognition to offer Kindergarten and Grade 1.
1968 The school was granted government recognition to offer Grades 2 and 3
1969 The school was granted government recognition to offer Grade 4
1970 The school was granted government recognition to offer Grade 5
1971 The school opened its high school department for first year and second year students.
1972 The first batch of elementary pupils graduated.
1974 Theschoolwas granted government recognition to offer elementary education [Grade 6 was Recognized].
1974 The school was granted government recognition to offer First Year to Third Year high school
1975 The school was granted government recognition to offer FourthYear high school
1975 The first batch of high school students graduated. However, the school which is located in a property that belonged to the parish had to be sold by the previous owner of the school to the Archdiocese of Manila since the parish needed the site as an area for expansion
1980 The school was turned over by Miss Salazar to the Archdiocese and was then managed by the Religious Missionaries of St. Dominic (OP).
1981 Sr. Loreto Galang, OP was appointed as first religious directress-principal of the school.
1985 The Religious Missionaries of St. Dominic requested to be relieved of the responsibility of managing the school. Msgr. Salvador Jose, parish priest, was appointed director-principal of the school while Mrs. Rita Amaba was appointed assistant principal.
1986 Sr. Maria Refugio Nacion, OP was appointed as the second religious directress/principal of the school. A two-storey building facing A.T. Reyes St. was constructed. Computer education program was offered.
1989 Sr. Maria Fe Gamotin, OP was appointed as the third religious directress/principal of the school. A new three-storey building, Veritas Building was constructed. An initial self-survey called CongregationalEvaluationVisit (CEV) was started to prepare the school for PAASCU.
1997 Sr. Teresita Dejoras, OP was appointed as the fourth religious directress/principal of the school.
1999 The management of the school was formally turned over to the Archdiocese by the Religious Missionaries of St. Dominic. Msgr. Salvador Jose was appointed as its director, while Msgr. Gerardo Santos was appointed as principal. The rooftop of Veritas Building was converted into four classrooms.
2000 Msgr. Salvador Jose was assigned to a parish in Makati City and Msgr. Reynaldo Celso, as the parish priest, was appointed director of the school. Major renovations on the electrical system of the school including purchase of a generator and converting the electrical connection into a three-phase system took place.
2001 Msgr. Mario Enriquez was assigned as a parish priest and took over as director of the school and Rev. Fr. Marion Munda was appointed principal of the school. Under the leadership ofMsgr. Mario Enriquez and Fr. Marion Munda, the school is continuously undergoing review and revision of its program offerings.To address the growing needs of its students, new construction went underway.
2002 The school initiated a planning workshop that reviewed its Vision-Mission Statement. A FiveYear Development Plan was drawn.
2004 The school is preparing for accreditation by the Philippine Association of Accredited Schools, Colleges and Universities. The construction of a new building that houses the gymnasium was completed. An old building located at the back of the Church was renovated to house the new Home Economics Laboratory Room, the Principal’s Office ,Activities Head Office, POS Office and the Conference Room
2005 The Faculty, Non-Teaching and Student Manuals, particularly the job descriptions of personnel, were reviewed and revised. Construction of a Parish Pastoral Center and School Building was started.
2006 The Preliminary Visit of the Philippine Accrediting Schools, Colleges and Universities on October 9-10.
2007 The Vision-Mission was revised with the inclusion of the Apostolic Vision of the Church, (MAGPAS). The revision of the organizational chart of the school accompanied by the appointment of Rev. Fr. Mark C. Munda as the Assistant Director and Mr. Henry A. Davalos as the Principal. The re-alignment of the Curriculum along with the Vision-Mission. • 2008 The Formal Visit of the Philippine Accrediting Schools, Colleges and Universities on February 4-5. The SFNPS Basic Education Program is granted initial accreditation by the PAASCU Board of Directors for a period of three (3) years.
2009 The construction of a new building / Caritas building. The Revision of the Curriculum
2010 Start of the revision of curriculum by using Understanding by Design (UbD) S.Y. 2010-2011 - Preparation for the PAASCU Revisit on February 07- 08, 2011
2011 Construction of the New Building / Gaudium building. The SFNPS Basic Education Program is granted Level II accreditation by the PAASCU Board of Directors for a period of five (5) years.
2012 Construction of additional two floors of the Caritas Bldg. & Gaudium Bldg. Revision of the School’s Philosophy and Objectives, Vision-Mission, and Core Values and Implementation of the Kto12 Basic Education Program.
2013 The improvement of the school facade and beautification/enhancement of Plaza Filippo and the school grounds in preparation for the 50th Foundation Anniversary this school year 2013- 2014.
2013 Opening of SFNPS Golden Jubilee Celebration with the theme: “SFNPS@50 Living the Mission, Living the APOSTLESHIP.”
2014 On-going improvement of school facilities such as expansion of TLE Laboratories, Gymnasium, relocation of speech laboratory and the construction of the Auditorium in preparation for the Senior High School Program of the DepEd.
2014 Revision of the Curriculum and the continuous implementation of the Kto12 Program. Rev. Fr. Marion Mark C. Munda was appointed as the new school director and Rev. Fr. Leo Angelo S. Ignacio as the new asst. school director of RCAM ES clustered schools which includes the ff: San Felipe Neri Parochial School, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School, Jaime Cardinal Sin Learning Center, The Nazarene Catholic School, Holy Trinity Academy, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School and Escuela de San Miguel.
2015 Revision of the Curriculum and the continued implementation of the K to12 Program. The Quincentennial Birth Anniversary Celebration of our patron saint (Saint Philip Neri) coincides with the inauguration and blessing of the school gymnasium as officiated by His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle. Granted permit to operate Senior High School program for Academic Tracks, Tech-Voc: Information Communications Technology (ICT), & Tech-Voc: Home Economics.
2016 Continuous implementation of K-12 program, First Batch of Senior High School (Grade 11). S.Y. 2016-2017 - Preparation for the PAASCU 2nd Resurvey Visit in October, 2016. The SFNPS was visited by administrators from the different public schools of Indonesia in March 2016.
Benchmarking activity of SFNPS with International School. The school was visited by administrators of Suankularb Wittayalai Thonburi School of Bangkok, Thailand in October 2016. The PAASCU 2nd Resurvey Visit on October 17-18, 2016.
2017 Continues implementation of K-12 program, Second Batch of Senior High School (Grade 12). The SFNPS Basic Education Program is granted Re-Accreditation Level II (clean slate) by the PAASCU Board of Directors for a period of five (5) years
2018 First batch of Senior High School students graduated Offering of New Curriculum of Pre-School Department / MontessoriApproach The improvement of the facilities in the Preparatory Department and School Canteen.
2018 Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) Visitation Pilot Testing of the New Instrument for Certification of Junior High School Department - SQAIES (Standard Quality Assurance Instrument Evaluation System)
2019 The blessing of newly renovated school administrative offices, faculty room and other facilities; and the school’s name San Felipe Neri Parochial School was changed to San Felipe Neri Catholic School. The second batch of Senior High School students graduated; cluster graduation ceremony held at the Manila Cathedral with Her Excellency, Vice President – Maria Leonor Gerona Robredo as the guest speaker. The acceptance of the Archdiocesan Youth Pilgrimage Cross and the Relic of St. John Paul II

2020 The administration of fully on-line classes for the new normal. The first virtual graduation and moving up ceremony of the Basic Education Department. Webinar and orientation for the school faculty on learning management system, teaching strategies and inter-active application to enhance classroom instruction. - As part of the school’s Learning Continuity Plan and in response to the growing needs brought by the pandemic, SFNCS together with its Administrators, Faculty, Personnel and Staff, decided to move forward and progress important academic and business transactions in a “work from home” basis. By considering the mandates of the Department of Health and the legal implications of the Republic Act No. 11469 (otherwise known as the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act of 2020), the school prepared itself for the upcoming quarantine days; so business transactions and other academic related tasks will still fall normal under the new normal. - The areas of curriculum, faculty, physical plant, laboratories, student activities, library, guidance services, and school & community, designed specific plan of actions to address pressing concerns related to schooling, student safety, and personnel professional development & skills enhancement for the “new normal” in education. - The first virtual graduation and moving up ceremony of the Basic Education Department. Webinar and orientation for the school faculty on learning management system, teaching strategies and interactive application to enhance classroom instruction.
2021 – The second virtual graduation of SHS department and Grade Six Pupils – The blessing of the school Physical Fitness Room and Murals of Saint Philip Neri. The continuous development and improvement of school building and facilities which include the following: construction of additional five floors of Caritas and Gaudium Building, installation of two elevators, improvement of school canteen, TLE laboratories, school gymnasium and construction of swimming pool and auditorium. – The on-going preparation and application of school to TESDA as a training and assessment center for technical and vocational courses.
2021– October 8 - Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) Visitation Pilot Testing of the Instrument for Certification of Grade School Department- SQAIES (Standard Quality Assurance Instrument Evaluation System)
2022 – The school presented its Two-Year Transition Plan. From Home-based Progressive E-Learning (H.O.P.E.) which is a Nerian method of addressing the challenges of the time. This became the learning continuity platform with its specific objectives, goal-directed learning experiences, and digital support from its learning management system (Aralinks), H.O.P.E. provided learners the opportunity to achieve the expected learning competencies prescribed by the Department of Education in consonance with the Nerian teaching and learning. The school introduced the combination of online and in-person learning through the Learners Academic Progression Program (L.E.A.P) where HyBlend (Hyflex + Blended) and Fully Online Learning (FOL) were the main learning modalities. Kumustahan Program and the Parents Volunteer Program (PVP) were also piloted. Professional Learning Community (PLC) was intensified by putting every individual teacher, school personnel, and administrator as builders of new knowledge with DATA as an essential element of decision-making. Data Management System was introduced which served as a basis in determining the least mastered competencies and addressing learning gaps. The fifth batch of Senior High School students graduated.
2023 - Cluster 3 Schools continue to commit to collaborative practices, and data- driven strategies that ensure continuous improvement and effective innovations in the area of instruction, student assessment, school services, and school management through its Professional Learning Community. - The school is preparing for accreditation by the (PAASCU) Philippine Association of Accrediting Schools, Colleges and Universities for the Senior High School department and re-accreditation of the Basic Education. - The school re-introduces the fully face to face classes in all levels from Kinder to Senior High School after the lifting of pandemic restrictions. - The blessing of the school building and facilities which include the following: newly-installed elevator, TLE laboratories, Science laboratories, Computer laboratories, swimming pool, and Marian statue which coincides with the 25th Sacerdotal Anniversary of the school director, Rev. Fr. Marion Munda.
