We wanted to provide you with some more information about the way in which staff testing will work over the coming weeks. All staff should now test themselves at home twice each week.
From Monday 1st March all staff members will be able to access and collect a test kit from the College that will last 3 weeks.
All staff should collect their testing kits when they are next on-site. Testing kits can be collected from reception at Cadbury, reception at Central Campus and reception at CSM.
Results from tests taken must be recorded in two places:
The College’s reporting mechanism record results here
The Government site: www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result.
There is comprehensive guidance on how to test yourself which includes helpful videos. You can find all of this information on the staff portal access the information here
Tests are voluntary but encouraged. They will act as another layer of protection at College for all staff and students.
If you have any questions please contact the Health & Safety or HR teams.
Thank you for your continued support.
It is important that we all understand what is involved in a testing centre. This video shows you a walk through of the Sandwell testing centre and provides more information.

The College is expected by Government to continue with its Lateral Flow Testing on site for students. Great work has been done by all involved in getting this work started.
We are looking for more volunteers to ensure that this work can continue, and that we reach the levels of testing expected of us.
It is important staff understand what is involved, and the range of roles and volunteering opportunities available.
There are several different roles available. These include registering students who come in to be tested and supporting the administrative work involved.
Sarah Keast and Sophie Addington are co-ordinating volunteers within the College and are also contactable directly to discuss queries or answer questions. If you would like to be part of this work please contact hr@sandwell.ac.uk or hr@cadbury.ac.uk .
This activity will add another layer of safety to our extensive Covid-related control measures.
Do express an interest if you can.
