Gymnasium Penzberg

Gymnasium Penzberg is a secondary school with its main focus on mathematics, sciences and modern languages teaching pupils between the age of 11 and 18. The school was founded in 1981. At the moment, the school comprises approximately 1000 pupils and 100 teachers. Furthermore, Gymnasium Penzberg is a partner of Technische Universität München and ZUK Benediktbeuern (Center for Environment and Culture), allowing us to get access to other research and educational facilities. Our school has been involved in many exchange activities during the last years. We have a strong interest to promote these activities, since they give our pupils the chance to experience new cultures, nationalities and languages first hand. The town (16.000 inhabitants) is located in the Bavarian upland half way between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, with lakes around and the Alps just next door.
