Showing swine is one of the most popular activities in the Sand Springs FFA Chapter. Students typically find and purchase swine between late September and October. Students with facilities at their disposal are encouraged to house their livestock at home. For FFA Members that wish to show, but have no facilities to house their livestock there is a limited amount of Barn space that is available to Members provided they meet the requirements set forth in the Sand Springs FFA Student Handbook. Barn space is assigned to Provide THE MOST STUDENTS an opportunity to show swine not to accommodate each members individual desire to show multiple animals. Every year we hold a MANDITORY Swine meeting to go over requirements as well as the livestock contract. for information on events and meeting please visit the calendar page to stay up to date on chapter operations.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out by phone or E-mail that can be found in the Hand book, or on the home page

Sand Springs FFA is fortunate to have a school farm available for sheep and goats. If they have the means, students are also able to keep their livestock at their homes. For students interested in showing livestock and housing animals at the school farm, there is a contract that needs to be signed by a student and their parents acknowledging the rules and expectations of livestock exhibitors at the school farm. Those needing an animal, we will shop for goats after Oct. 5, 2025.
